It’s Stock Saturday!
Today’s free stock is from my personal collection. I took these images of giant tortoises last summer, during a trip to our local zoo. If you ever want to take some images at your local zoo to use as stock, make sure you look into their policies first. Some zoos are very strict about it. These animals belong to the Grassmere Zoo here in Nashville, TN. They are really great about letting visitors take pictures of their animals. They even offer a photography class so you can get up closer to the animals and get to all the prime spots. This Zoo is really beautiful and the animals are well taken care of. All of these have a creative commons attribution license. They are large, very high resolution files and would work great for uses such as textures or even making a house out of their shells… Hmm… I may have to do that last one… 🙂 (Click on the image to download!)
Artist Inspiration
You know, when I first started looking for examples of conceptual portraits that contained turtles, I wasn’t really sure I was going to find anything. Boy was I wrong! WOW! A lot of these artists have made a new fan out of me!
