Where I live in Tennessee we don’t get much snow. This is the first year in 5 or 6 we’ve actually had snow to amount to anything. However, we do get some really beautiful ice formations on the rock walls along the interstate. I have wanted to capture these iced formations for weeks now. I thought I had missed my window of opportunity but we got one more blast of cold air. Yesterday, I jumped in my Mommy swagger wagon and drove down to the area on the interstate where the rock walls are. I looked up and I squealed with delight! It was covered! Perfect! I pulled over and I decided it was too dangerous to get out and get close. The weather was warming fast and I was afraid they would fall on me. I decided to crawl over in the passenger seat and and I got the shots I needed just rolling down the window. When I was finished, I crawled back over in the drivers seat and put it in drive and lo and behold! I’m stuck. I was just spinning my wheels. NOOOO!!! AH! I put my hands over my head and thought, this is going to be hard to explain. “UMMM… yes, Officer. I’m a conceptual portrait photographer and I have this blog where I give away stock images… See, I thought these ice formations were really cool. Yes. Officer. I shouldn’t have driven up into the snow bank to capture them.” LOL! I decided to back up a few inches and then drive forward a few… I was finally able to work the tires free. It took a bit but shew! I didn’t have to call the police for help. How embarrassing. Ha! To download just click on the image and it will take you to my stock gallery! Enjoy them!
